Band of the month coming soon..........

Here at Lakewood, we have three separate bands that rehearse once every three days and then all come together for concerts. I will be featuring one of these bands each month by posting photos, describing instrumentation, and also featuring individual lesson groups. Stay tuned.

RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INVOLVEMENT IN MUSIC:

Physician and biologist Lewis Thomas studied the undergraduate majors of medical school applicants. He found that:

--66 percent of music majors who applied to medical school were admitted, the highest percentage of any group.

--44 percent of biochemistry majors were admitted.
